Sectio Bonding – so der Fachbegriff – ist die Förderung des Säugens und der frühen Bindung der Welpen zur Hündin nach einer Geburt mittels Kaiserschnitt.
Jeska ist eine sehr instinktsichere Hündin und hat ihre Welpen nach der Kaiserschnittgeburt sofort angenom-men, was jedoch keine Selbstverständlichkeit ist.
Ein solcher lebensrettender Eingriff in Vollnarkose kann in der ersten Zeit starke Spuren an der Hündin hinterlassen, die traumatisiert vom Durchlebten gegenüber ihren Welpen nur geringes Brutpflegeverhalten zeigt oder sie als "fremd" betrachtet und sie nicht saugen lässt.
Der erste Hautkontakt zwischen Hündin und Welpen nach der Geburt ist extrem wichtig. Dieses erste Kuscheln festigt die Beziehung und erleichtert dem Welpen den Umstieg auf die Umgebung außerhalb des Mutterleibs - auch nach einem Kaiserschnitt.
